djubilee 2021 National Barbie Convention "#Barbie Inspires"!

This year's National Barbie Doll Collectors Convention takes place in a few weeks, from August 5 thru 8th. Because of the pandemic, the in-person convention was cancelled. But in it's place there will be a virtual convention with all of the bells and whistles you expect from an in-person convention. It's now the National Barbie Doll Collectors Virtual Convention with the theme of #BarbieInspires. And it will all take place on a special private Facebook page.

Now the regular convention spots, which come with gifts and the Mattel official souvenir doll, are all sold out. However, you can still attend the convention as a "convention auditor". For only $50, you get to see everything the convention planners post on the Facebook page. There will be 4 days of non-stop programs, videos, tours, workshops, featurettes on auction dolls, entertainment - all created exclusively for this convention (and not available any place else afterwards). Some of it is geared to celebrate Ken's 60th anniversary and 50 years since the introduction of the Malibu Barbie and friends line of dolls.

You will also get to view the ever-popular Mattel program.  Plus you’ll have the chance to do some big-time virtual shopping. All your favorite dealers will have online sales albums created just for this convention stocked with loads of vintage and contemporary Barbie doll merchandise.

And you don't have to be any specific place at any specific time - you can watch all of the programming when it first gets posted on the Facebook page, or later, at your leisure. And if you want you can watch any of the programming more than once.

For all of you who've wanted to attend a National Barbie Doll Collectors Convention, but have been unable to in the past, this is a great opportunity to see what it's all about without the expense of airline tickets, hotel rooms, etc. At $50, this is one great bargain. And besides the $50, the only other thing you need is a Facebook account name (if you don't have one, it is easy to register on Facebook).

To buy your "convention auditor"registration, just go to

And once registered you don't have to wait until August 5th to start the fun. The page is already super-active with tons of posts and videos to see.
